GOOSEWING CABIN & ACTIVITY RATES
Summer at Goosewing
A working ranch reborn as an isolated retreat deep in the Gros Ventre River Valley, the Goosewing marks the entry point to a protected, pristine wilderness. We invite you to come share this corner of North America's wildest country just as it has been for over a hundred years.
At 7,400 feet, the valley is the host to some of North America's most spectacular game: deer, elk, moose, antelope, bear, eagles, geese, cranes, and much more, not to mention fantastic scenery. The Gros Ventre River, home to native cutthroat trout, runs through the meadows of this historic ranch. Our remote location allows for excellent horseback riding and fly fishing.
"As the gateway to the Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is the epicenter of guest-ranch vacationing in North America. If one acknowledges that this is the area that sets the standard, then the Goosewing Ranch sets the gold standard." 100 Best Ranch Vacations In North America
Horseback riding is our main focus during summer months. We can cater to all riding ability levels and will match the appropriate horse to each guest. Fly fishing is excellent in the area as well, and our guide provides instruction on our stocked pond and section of the river that flows through the property twice weekly.
The ranch accommodates approximately 30 guests per week. Afternoon activities include target shooting, archery, roping, and arts and crafts. Evening activities include line dancing, campfires, cookouts, and more.
